The British Motorcycle - A True Original![]() It is no secret that Harley-Davidson created the Sportster in the 1950's to meet the public's desire for European styled motorcycles. After all, the quicker, more agile and user friendly British motorcycles were effortless to operate and maintain in comparison with larger rivals. British motorcycles set speed records in the 1960's. The Bonneville Salt Flats were the location of countless races that helped solidify the dominance of the Bonneville name in connection with Triumph motorcycles. I love cracking open the throttle on the road and seeing V-twin owners do a double take. A smile creeps over my face as I maintain speed, knowing that I have nothing to prove. Triumph just celebrated its 100th anniversary. I'm on an original. |
