The Secret Identity of the Rocket III

The Rocket III is like nothing else. As a power cruiser, it occupies a class that has historically emphasized muscle over styling. The bike is built around a massive 2300cc engine that will propel you down the road much faster than you need to go. The Rocket III has been around for about a year now, and we are slowly starting to see custom work on these bikes. Customization is a logical path with this bike, because straight from the dealer, the Rocket IIIs styling looks like it was designed by committee. There are the cruiser elements, the sport bike elements, the retro elements and the bagger elements. The factory customization options confuse the matter even more, as you can mix a 1990s Tribal custom paint job, footboards, and a micro sport windscreen. Throw in the sissy bar to top it off. There is no singular design theme visible on the Rocket III.

In my opinion, the Rocket III is a diamond in the rough, but is still waiting for its true identity to be discovered. The engineering on the bike is impressive, and the performance will leave you with a permanent smile. What can you do to customize the Rocket? Stay tuned as we have our eyes on a few Rockets around here and will be featuring them soon.
